| I recently had the opportunity to become acquainted with the new Nagra VI prior to its wide release. There is much to like in this new recorder but no machine is equally well suited to all applications. I’ll examine the relative strengths of the Nagra and try to evaluate how it fits into the mix of available digital recorders. (more) |

Accessories: Mount for the SD 788
Many clients have requested a mount to fit the new Sound Devices 788 recorder. The 744 mount is machined from a solid I-beam and not easily adaptable to the new recorder so Chinhda is devising something fresh. It will probably be similar to the prototype seen here. (Mouse over to slide the recorder in and out.) Chinhda is sitll working out some details like compatibility with the CL8 Controller. Watch this space for updates. |
